BIBLE PASSAGES
Leviticus 14:1-15:33
2 Kings 7:3-20
Mark 5:24b-34
This week we are covering ceremonial uncleanness. We find that when the Messiah came he healed all manner of sickness and disease.
In the book of Kings we read how God used the ceremonially unclean to save the people of Israel. In our understanding of what it means to believe, it brings us through our uncleanliness into His presence, where we are able to be filled and lack nothing.
Mark 5 gives us a clear description about the teachings of Jesus and how many people were drawn to what He was saying. In the midst of His traveling and teaching, the least of these, who was considered unclean believed that He was the Word that became flesh. ”Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of Him and told Him what she had done. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Questions for Reflection:
▪ Do I believe He was the Word that became flesh?
▪ Has my mind convinced me that I am too unclean to receive God’s love?
▪ Do I believe healing is available for me?
▪ Can I see His fulfillment through the washing of the Word?
