Mt. Hermon

Did you know that Mt. Hermon is located in the Golan Heights in Israel? Mt. Hermon borders Israel, Syria, and Lebanon and stands 9,232 feet above sea level. At the base of Mt. Hermon are three springs the Dan, Snir, and Hermon. These springs are the headwaters of the Jordan river.

Jesus was with his Disciples on numerous occasions in the area and could be the place of the Transfiguration for two reasons. It is the highest in the area according to Matthew 17:1, and it is located near Caesarea Philippi found in Matthew 16:13.

"38 Whoever puts his trust in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his inmost being!” - John 7:38
